terms

PB Multimedia's normal terms for web site design, web site redesign, and web site upgrades are simple. It is required that a deposit amounting to one-half of the projected cost be paid upon contract signing, and prior to design work commencing, The balance becoming payable on site upload to the chosen domain on the server. This applies to the basic, interactive packages, as well as to site rebuilds.

Should the projected cost of a job be over £6000, a 'deposit' figure and payment terms will be negotiated with the customer.

As stated elsewhere, PB Multimedia will accept payment by bank transfer, credit/debit card (via PayPal), and cheques (these must clear prior to work commencing). We will accept cash but prefer no to do so.

The deposit is non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances. If, after contract signing, the customer chooses to abandon the project (for whatever reason) then the deposit sum is forfeit and will be kept by PB Multimedia. However, we are human and will consider reasons for refunds. Further, if PB Multimedia becomes unable to proceed with the project, then we will refund the deposit in full to the customer involved.

Please note that PB Multimedia does not charge customers any spurious ongoing fees. The price we quote (for the contracted web site) is the price you will be asked to pay. However, should you require subsequent modifications or additions to the said web site then these will be charged extra (currently £30 per hour). We do not charge a 'retainer'.

If PB Multimedia arranges site hosting and domain name registration on behalf of the customer, then these charges must be paid, along with the deposit, at the time of contract signing. Please note that these charges are not refundable should you subsequently decide to abandon the project.

PB Multimedia will work to produce the requested web site in the shortest practical time. However, for this to be achieved customers need to supply content in a timely manner. PB Multimedia can not and will not be held responsible for delays caused by slow supply, or non-delivery of site content.

Unless the customer wants to supply their own photographic images for inclusion on their web site, PB Photographic will undertake to obtain such images as are required to enhance the said web site.

Annual web site hosting fees must be paid on time on the anniversary of contract signing (either to us or directly to the host - qubiq Technical Services). Similarly the customer must pay the domain name re-registration on the due date (either to us directly or to 123-reg.co.uk)

Once the customer's web site has 'gone live' the involvement of PB Multimedia will be in a support role - via telephone and e-mail - for the 12 months subsequent.

The customer is required to pay the stated sums (deposit, balance, hosting and domain registration) at the required times.
