"Why go to the bother
of having a web site?"
Well, your advertising becomes vastly more flexible than, for example,
newspaper advertising. A website will be cheaper than most other advertising
methods. Changes can be made rapidly - no publication deadlines to worry
about. Best of all, your audience is global! For the cost of placing a
display advert in a newspaper or magazine for a month or two, you can
have a multi-page, colour, animated website that is easier and quicker
to change and update. Please note that we are not suggesting you abandon
your current advertising methods - far from it. Rather, you should see
a website as an additional, and vastly more flexible medium which can
only help to enhance your public profile.
"I'd like to have video clips on my site. Can you
do this for me?" (Javier, Tenerife)
Yes. We can convert camcorder and VHS vcr footage into files suitable
for inclusion on your site. Click
here
to see examples.
"I want to be able to sell my products and services
via my website. Can you help me with this?"
Yes. We can build in this facility for you. Shop carts can be provided
and online payment facilities can be made available.
"I want a bright, loud and funky web site. Can you
do that for me?"
Yes. But it has been proven that the majority of web users do not like
too much in the way of flashing, loud, over complicated sites. We can
make that kind of site for you if you wish, but we'd advise against it.
"How soon will my site be ready?"
Well, there are a few factors involved here. The prime thing that affects
site development speed is the supply of content (text, images, video material)
from the customer. We will progress your site in the shortest time possible,
but in a manner that does not compromise on quality.
"How much will I have to pay each year?"
Each year you will need to pay for site hosting, and every two years (on
average) you will need to pay to keep your 'domain name' (web address).
What else? If you need occasional updates, or major changes, to your
site then we will charge you accordingly. For more regular updates you might like to consider our monthly Support Option.
"I get free web space from my ISP, why should I
buy space on another host?"
The space you get from your ISP is usually enough for two or three pages
at most. Also you have to have some reference to the ISP in the web address
- not the best really when you are wanting to look professional. For example
with ISP provided space you have a web site address something like: www.yoursite.freespace.yourispname.org
. But www.yoursite.org would look much more professional. The choice is,
as they say, up to you.
